For this one-of-a-kind Groundbreak concert, celebrated Sub Pop singer-songwriters Sera Cahoone, Kyle Craft and Jen Champion will come together with other special guests for a night of homegrown voices, original music, and a bespoke collaboration on our Great Hall stage. Americana indie favorite Sera Cahoone brings a combination of rustic warmth and world-weary sophistication to her songs. Alt-country crooner Kyle Craft has been described as melding elements of southern roots, electric folk, and glam rock. Sub Pop Records, an independent label founded in 1988 by Bruce Pavitt and Jonathan Poneman, has represented some of Seattle’s most well-known musical artists. Introducing bands like Nirvana, Mudhoney, and Soundgarden, the label heralded the advent of the grunge movement and they’ve been producing an abundant stream of diverse and groundbreaking artists ever since.

Recorded live at Town Hall Seattle Wednesday, June 28, 2017
