As a 60 minutes correspondent and reporter, Lesley Stahl has had many remarkable experiences, from covering suicide bombings in Tel Aviv to interviewing heads of state. But her most transformative experience, by far, was in 2011 when she became a first-time grandmother. She was hit with a jolt of joy so intense and unexpected, she decided to “investigate” it. Putting her years in journalism to use, she explored how grandmothering changes a woman’s life. Interviewing friends like Whoopi Goldberg, colleagues like Diane Sawyer (and grandfathers, including Tom Brokaw), as well as a host of non-celebrity grandmas, Stahl combines personal accounts with scientific and anthropological findings associated with grandparenthood. In conversation with Seattle Seahawks Digital Media Host (and grandfather) Tony Ventrella, she will share what she discovered while exploring this cherished relationship.

Recorded live at Town Hall Seattle Tuesday, April 25, 2017
