Clara Pluton and Val Nigro are stand-up comedians, radio hosts, and real-life lesbian lovers dishing out the sapphic dirt! They joined us at Town Hall for a live taping of their co-hosted podcast Hot Takes with Hot Dykes, diving into queer fantasia interpreted through a modern lens. They encouraged us to push ourselves to reinterpret, reassess, and reanalyze dyke culture that has been left before us. As they say, “nothing exists in a vacuum and y’all know we love to process.” Listen in for a live conversation about self-criticism, public engagement, and examination of dyke culture.

Clara Pluton is a Seattle based stand-up comedian and radio personality. They’re the co-host of 104.9 KHUH FM Hollow Earth Radio’s Hot Takes with Hot Dykes where they and fellow comedian girlfriend Val Nigro serve the sapphic dish.

Val Nigro is a stand-up comedian, actor, and radio personality who has been hailed for her “intense sense of inrony” and “always finding a way to bring up astrology.” Val co-hosts the hit radio show and podcast Hot Takes with Hot Dykes, and she has performed in comedy festivals and lesbian living rooms across the nation.

Presented by Town Hall Seattle. Recorded live in The Forum on September 24, 2019.
