Town Hall is a gathering place where ideas are planted and movements grow. It’s where we come together as a community to listen and be heard—to ask and answer the big questions facing our city and our world. Annually, we present hundreds of artists and scholars, and collaborate with more than 150 grassroots groups in our self-produced programs. Rooted in the belief that we all deserve a voice, our programming reflects—and inspires—our region's best impulses: creativity, empathy, and innovation. With our podcast series, we take one more step towards making our programming accessible to all.

Actor David Duchovny has won two Golden Globes for his best known characters: FBI Agent Fox Mulder on the sci-fi horror show The X-Files and writer Hank Moody on the comedy-drama series Californication. As of May 2015, he has been executive producing and starring in the historically based cop drama Aquarius. His second novel, Bucky F*cking Dent, explores the bonds between fathers and sons and the age-old rivalry between Yankee fans and the Fenway faithful, and grapples with our urgent need to persevere―and risk everything―in the name of love. In conversation with fellow author Jess Walter (Beautiful Ruins), Duchovny will share stories about his life and work.
